The band
Dreams is Allen, Rico, and Ed. They've been playing together for a very long time. Within Reach is their first record.
Guitar · Background vocals
Allen’s first musical memories were listening to his mother play piano at home and organ in church. He draws inspiration from blues, rock, and folk rock for both live playing and songwriting. Those influences are brought to life in his work with Dreams.
Keyboards · Bass · Vocals
Rico is a second generation American born to two talented musicians. He grew up listening to music of his parents’ heritages in addition to classical, opera, sacred, jazz, and popular songs of the day. He traded in his accordion for organ and bass in his early teens so he could jam with his friends.
Drums · Percussion · Vocals
At the age of eight, after watching a Drum and Bugle Corps in the annual Halloween Parade, Ed knew he wanted to play the drums. The next day he traded his favorite toy to his neighbor for a drum pad and a pair of drumsticks. From then till today, in Ed’s own words: “I don’t want to work, I wanna bang on the drum all day.”
Producer · Engineer
Doug’s musical tastes were influenced by the British invasion of the sixties and later by American blues and rock and roll. During college he was active in booking bands and with the production of their concerts. Over the past 25 years he’s been tracking and mixing audio at Freshtracks Studio.
Fourteen songs, recorded between 2024 and 2026. Doug Horner produced and engineered the album with the band at Freshtracks Studio in Kearneysville, West Virginia. Chris Kave mastered it.
